About project

The aim of the project is to strengthen the potential of the Medical University of Lublin in the field of admitting and providing services for international students, doctoral students and staff, to increase the comfort and a sense of security for international visitors, and to equip the University with attractive information tools for them.

Project title: „ New dimensions of the Medical University of Lublin – Digital&Real ”

 

The aim of the project is to strengthen the potential of the Medical University of Lublin in the field of admitting and providing services for international students, doctoral students and staff, to increase the comfort and a sense of security for international visitors, and to equip the University with attractive information tools for them.

 


The expansion of the Welcome Center will strengthen the intercultural competences of staff and students, continue the organizational preparations of the Medical University of Lublin to serve foreigners and shape the basis of openness and tolerance in the academic and social environment.

 

In the long term, the project will contribute to the increase of the level of internationalization of the Medical University of Lublin, as well as to the raising of cultural sensitivity of the academic and regional community. It will help in adjusting teaching methods to the needs of the international students, in facilitating the integration of foreigners with the local community and in increasing the percentage of alumni staying in Poland after graduation. Subsequently, it may expand the group of foreign partners of the University.

 

ABOUT THE PROGRAM - The aim of the Welcome to Poland Program is to support the institutional capacity of universities holding the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education as well as scientific units providing education in the area of service for international students, doctoral students and academic staff.

 


ACTIVITIES COVERED BY THE PROGRAM - training support for teaching, research and administrative staff of the Applicant involved in the admission of international students and staff; activities related to the organizational preparation of the Applicant to service international students and staff; developing activities related to internationalization "at home"; shaping attitudes of openness and tolerance in the academic community and social environment of the Applicant; adapting the University to functioning in crisis conditions.

 


The program is implemented as part of the project "Improving the competences of academic staff and the potential of institutions in admitting people from abroad - Welcome to Poland" under the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development co-financed by the European Social Fund.
